Please welcome Danielle Neil, Columbus pet photographer, as our latest Session Spotlight!
I love photographing dogs in their own environments! They are so much more relaxed about the process and so are their pet parents! For this session, their mom had won a silent auction package from a local animal shelter fundraising event I donated to. Ringo and Honey were also adopted from this shelter. Both dogs are close to six years old and were adopted “later in life”, not as puppies. It’s great to see when owners adopted older dogs that still have a lot of life left in them.
Ohio weather is always questionable in the spring, but we lucked out on the day of their session with not a drop of rain. These Cattle-mix dogs are best of friends and romped around their home and yard for portraits. I was able to capture their individual personalities and cute little faces both together and individually. Their home was a unique location for the photos and had some great backdrops for the photographs. I was able to incorporate the home in the background of some of the images as well as the beautiful foliage in the area. These two were so fun to work with!
