Raise your hand if you love lists?  Me Me Me!!!  I can’t express in words how much I LOVE me some list making.  I must admit that I have adding things to my list that I have already completed…just for the satisfaction of crossing it off!

The challenge with lists is that you need a list to organize your list, no?  I would end up with a variety of lists all over the place, and I do still work with oodles of notepads.

IMG_7482I write some notes down on a notepad but then just grab another notepad when I think of something else that isn’t related to that first notepad.  Before you know it I have a pile of 20 notepads on my desk in which I only wrote on the first page!  My husband thinks I’m crazy but that is just how my brain works…and well, he’s stuck with me!

I used to then keep a running to do list on a single notepad.  That list would often end up being 3 pages long.  Totally exhausting.

I had tried a few other list apps before and it was like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.  TeuxDeux is just right!

The top half of the page is for a time line view.  You can enter individual tasks and recurring tasks.  Such as; pay sales tax every month, check on your accounting books every week, or write a new blog post every week.  It can also be used for helping to form a new habit!  Enter a recurring daily task to meditate for 10 minutes or eat vegetables.

The beauty of TeuxDeux is that each task in the time line that is not completed will keep rolling over into the new day until you complete it or move it back down to one of the bottom lists.  It will not let you forget about it!

The bottom of the page is the place to keep as many individual lists as you like.  When you are ready to add it to your time line just drag and drop.  I have a list for Big Projects that are my priority at the moment, Blog Posts for my photography business, Online Education that I have to attend to, a Someday list of random stuff, and a personal editing list so I remember where I left off with printing my family albums (hello 2011).

I LOVE the clean interface and that I can see all of my lists in a glance.  They also have a phone app that allows me to access this anywhere.  Make it easy to keep up with it on your computer by adding the page as a link on the toolbar of your browser.

Check out TeuxDeux.  They have a 30 day free trial so you can see if it’s a good fit.  If it is, the cost is only $3 a month or $24 a year.  I am not an affiliate for them, I just wanted to spread the word about this great resource!
