The post-processing tools available for us are complex, incredibly complex.  Take any given task in Photoshop or Lightroom and I would venture to guess there are at least 5 different ways to accomplish the same final result.  That is one of the reasons that it can be so overwhelming when trying to learn these programs.  One way that can be incredibly beneficial is to see how someone would edit your image from start to finish…and that is what we are going to do today.

This image was submitted by Hair of the Dog reader Kelly Garin.  I applaud her willingness to share with everyone as we all feel a little naked when people see our SOOC images!

In this video I will edit the image as if it were my own.

If you are new to Photoshop or Lightroom, CreativeLIVE has some great classes for all levels.  We will also be spending a good half a day on post-processing at the Hair of the Dog Retreat in February!  Initial registration closes on November 1st so if you were thinking of registering now is the time!  You can read more information on this pet photography workshop here and registration is available here.
